MediaTek recently officially launched the Dimensity 7360 processor, targeting the mid-range market. With features such as an octa-core design, 200-megapixel support, and Game Adaptive Technology 3.0 (MAGT 3.0), it further strengthens the competitiveness of its mid-range chipset. This processor combines quad-core 2.5GHz Arm Cortex-A78 performance cores with quad-core Cortex-A55 efficiency cores. While maintaining a mainstream architecture in the mid-range price range, MAGT 3.0 technology achieves a balance of image quality, performance, and power consumption, delivering up to 20% improvement in gaming frame rates and energy efficiency compared to competing products.
Imaging capabilities are a highlight of the Dimensity 7360. Its integrated Imagiq 950 ISP supports CMOS sensors up to 200 megapixels, offering real-time HDR video recording, motion-compensated noise reduction, and enhanced background blur. HDR video dynamic range is over 50% higher than competing products. For display, the MiraVision 955 processor supports WFHD (2560×1080) screens with 10-bit color depth, providing detailed color reproduction for audio and video entertainment. In terms of connectivity, the chip supports 3-carrier aggregation 5G, VoNR, Wi-Fi 6E, and Bluetooth Low Energy. It also features a 655 NPU neural network engine and is compatible with LPDDR4X/LPDDR5 memory and UFS 3.1 storage. These features make it more efficient in AI processing and multitasking, making it a popular choice in the mid-range smartphone market.
