On September 24th, OPPO announced on its official Weibo account that the OPPO Watch S smartwatch will debut globally on October 16th. According to official information, this new product, dubbed the "King of Thin and Light Watches," is expected to be the thinnest round smartwatch on the market. The OPPO Watch S may feature a stainless steel body and a rotary push-button. Pre-orders for this new product are already open on the OPPO Store.
Multiple sources have previously stated that the OPPO Watch S smartwatch boasts excellent system fluidity, offering an overall experience "comparable to a mobile phone operating system," and is powered by a dual-core Snapdragon W5 + BES2800 MCU architecture. The OPPO Watch S is expected to be under 9mm thick and may contain a 200mAh battery, promising up to seven days of battery life. It is also expected to include all-day health monitoring.
Industry analysts have noted that OPPO's choice of "slim aesthetics" rather than "flagship specifications" to enter the smartwatch market not only continues the design language of the Watch X series but also successfully avoids direct competition with flagship products like the Huawei GT series and the Apple Watch.
For reference, the OPPO Watch X, released in February this year, features a 46mm round dial, a titanium alloy bezel, and a sapphire crystal mirror. It features functions such as non-invasive hypertension risk assessment and an independent eSIM. Its battery capacity is 631mAh, and it can be used continuously for 5 days in full smart mode and up to 16 days in long-lasting mode.
