On September 24th, a digital blogger revealed that iQOO will launch a new model, the iQOO 15 mini, next year. Positioned as a mid-to-high-end performance small-screen smartphone, it's expected to start at around 3,000 yuan (approximately US$499). This model will replace the Pro version of the original iQOO Neo series, targeting users seeking a compact and cost-effective design.
Previously, there were reports that the iQOO Neo 11 series would discontinue the Pro version, retaining only the standard version. Following this product line adjustment, the iQOO 15 mini will become the brand's new flagship model in the 3,000 yuan price range.
The launch of a new model with the "mini" name demonstrates that iQOO is aligning with industry trends, strengthening its small-screen flagship presence, and further segmenting its product lineup through differentiated naming.
In recent years, the small-screen smartphone market has gradually rebounded. Since the second half of 2024, several mainstream manufacturers have launched compact flagship models. Xiaomi has already released the Mi 15, focusing on high performance and a portable design. Vivo plans to release the X200 Pro mini, continuing its strategy of slightly downsizing its flagship imaging device. OnePlus has also launched relatively small performance models like the 13T. These products all focus on balancing a one-handed grip experience with core performance, appealing to specific user groups.
The launch of the iQOO 15 mini marks the brand's official entry into the competition in this niche market. Its main competitors are expected to be models like the Mi 17 and the OnePlus 15T.
