Recently, overseas media outlets selected the "Best Ultra-Thin Smartphones of 2025." The OPPO Find N5, the foldable flagship from Chinese brand OPPO, was selected alongside the iPhone Air and Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge.
Foreign media outlets believe that by 2025, slim smartphones will no longer come at the expense of functionality. Major brands are pushing the boundaries, releasing products that combine thinness with powerful performance, long-lasting battery life, and excellent camera hardware. Based on this, foreign media outlets selected five models, two of which are foldables: the iPhone Air, Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge, TECNO POVA Slim 5G, OPPO Find N5, and Samsung Z Fold7.
The OPPO Find N5, one of the two foldables selected, is a flagship foldable phone featuring a slim design. It measures just 4.21mm thick when unfolded and 8.93mm when folded. It features an 8.12-inch 2K LTPO AMOLED foldable main display and a 6.62-inch FHD+ AMOLED external display. Both displays support a maximum 120Hz refresh rate and are compatible with stylus input.
The other foldable phone is the Samsung Z Fold 7, which is just 4.2mm thick and weighs 215g when unfolded. It features an 8-inch QXGA+ foldable AMOLED main screen and a 6.5-inch FHD+ external screen. Both screens support a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, and the external screen uses Corning Gorilla Glass 2.
Among the three non-foldable phones, the iPhone Air is just 5.64mm thick and weighs 165g; the Samsung S25 Edge is 5.8mm thick and weighs 163g; and the TECNO POVA Slim 5G is just 5.95mm thick and weighs 156g.
