According to tech media Windows Latest, Copilot is now available and plans to add support for a Google Drive connector. This upgrade marks a key step forward in personalizing the experience and cross-platform integration.
The "Manage Memories" switch is currently available to some users in the beta version. While currently only supports memorizing information on command or deleting all memories at once, Microsoft has confirmed that a standalone management page similar to ChatGPT will be launched in the future, allowing users to directly add, delete, and modify AI-powered memories. This improvement will make Copilot interactions more consistent and customizable, addressing the previous limitation of comprehensive memory management. Regarding third-party service connectivity, Copilot now leverages ChatGPT's "connector" technology to enable data interoperability with external applications through the "Connected Apps" portal. OneDrive connectivity is currently available on a limited basis, and Google Drive will become the second supported platform. Once enabled, users can have Copilot directly find, read, and summarize documents in designated folders, and even use this content for "deep research."
Microsoft revealed that these are only the initial batch of supported services, with more third-party applications to be added in the future. However, it is worth noting that some advanced connector features may be locked into the $20 per month Copilot subscription. This strategy maintains the free availability of basic features while providing value-added service options for professional users.
