Huawei has previously released two generations of tri-foldable phones, and according to the latest leaks, Samsung is expected to launch its first tri-foldable smartphone before the end of this year.
Recently, netizens have revealed the folding method of Samsung's tri-fold phone on social media. As can be seen from the pictures, it folds differently from Huawei's tri-fold Mate XT and Mate XTs. One of its screens is located on the same side as the rear camera assembly. It also adopts a more U-shaped fold, rather than Huawei's Z-shaped fold.
This solution is said to ensure the foldable screen is secure, preventing accidental damage even if the phone is dropped. However, whether this folding method can provide a better user experience remains to be seen.
According to the latest rumors, this device is likely to be named "Galaxy Z TriFold" and will be unveiled in October and released in November. It is expected to have a 6.54-inch front screen and a 10.1-inch folding screen, weighing 298 grams. This model is likely to be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Extreme Edition chip.
