an italian brand known for its supercars has unveiled its first fully electric vehicle. however, what was announced this time was not a car, but an electric water ski named "seabob se63". this model, which made its debut at the cannes yacht show, immediately attracted the attention of luxury car enthusiasts.
the seabob se63 was jointly developed by lamborghini and the german company kayako. equipped with a carbon fiber drive shaft and a new propulsion system, it is the most powerful model among seabob's hydro-dynamic skis. its name originates from the yacht "technomar lamborghini 63", which was built in collaboration with the italian se group.
powered by a 6.3kw (8.5 horsepower) electric motor, the se63 can run for up to 60 minutes on its built-in battery. charging takes just 1.5 hours using a standard outlet.
according to the developers, the se63 is as fast as dolphins and sharks. the price has not been announced yet, but it is likely to be as expensive as lamborghini models.
stefan winkelmann, ceo of lamborghini, recently stated that the company is considering introducing hybrid technology due to the declining demand for luxury electric vehicles.
