The unreleased Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 mobile processor has appeared on the Geekbench database. The test results are impressive: it outperforms the current flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite chip by a significant margin.
The processor was tested as part of an unnamed Samsung smartphone model with the SM-S947U index (presumably referring to the Galaxy S26 Edge). The specifications reveal the SoC architecture includes eight cores (2 x 4.74 GHz + 6 x 3.63 GHz) divided into two clusters. The version of the mobile platform (base or a special variant with the Galaxy prefix) was not specified.
According to the test results, the processor, paired with 12GB of RAM, achieved a single-thread score of 3,393 and an all-core performance score of 11,515 (15 and 8% higher than the Snapdragon 8.5 Elite respectively). Notably, the maximum CPU frequency during testing was 4.05 GHz, which can be attributed to the state of the engineering sample. It's possible that the release version will perform slightly better.
A release date for the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 processor has not yet been announced.
