Honor Magic V5 is only 8.8mm thick, setting a new record for the thinnest folding screen

Honor officially announced today that the thickness of its new folding screen mobile phone Magic V5 is 8.8mm, breaking the record of the world's thinnest folding screen device. The phone will be unveiled at the "Honor Magic V5 and AI Ecological Terminal Conference" at 19:00 on the evening of July 2, marking a breakthrough evolution in folding screen technology. Compared with the 9.2mm folding thickness and 226g weight of the previous generation Magic V3, the new model weighs as low as 219g on the basis of thinning, directly matching the portable experience of the straight-panel flagship.

In addition, Magic V5 not only wins with its thinness, but also carries an innovative AI technology matrix. Preheating information shows that its AI system focuses on productivity scenarios, covering real-time user perception, personal privacy protection and end-cloud large model collaboration capabilities. The core models include MagicGUI-Action visual large model and MagicLM-Nano end-side language model, supporting the full-link intelligence of "intention understanding-reasoning planning-automatic execution". At the same time, the machine has made breakthroughs in three key technologies: full-stack personal knowledge base, global intelligent body collaboration and full-brand terminal interconnection capabilities, and is compatible with multi-platform devices such as Hongmeng, Windows, and Apple.
