According to the latest news, Huawei's next-generation flagship Huawei Mate 80 series will be released in mid-to-late November this year, and the release time is close to the Huawei Mate 70 series.
For reference, the Huawei Mate 70 series started pre-sale at 18:08 pm on November 26, 2024, and officially launched at 10:08 AM on December 4, providing multiple versions such as Huawei Mate 70, Huawei Mate 70 Pro, Huawei Mate 70 Pro+, Huawei Mate 70 RS Extraordinary Master, etc. In March 2025, Huawei added the Huawei Mate 70 Pro premium version to the Huawei Mate 70 series.
According to the leaked information, the Huawei Mate 80 series will adopt a large number of new technologies and new configurations:
In terms of screen, Huawei Mate 80 series will exclusively customize a new dual-layer OLED screen, taking into account color, power consumption and eye protection. This technology adds an additional luminous layer to the traditional single-layer OLED, thus providing higher brightness, contrast and wider color gamut;
In terms of imaging, some models of Huawei Mate 80 series may be equipped with the flagship CMOS sensor SC595XS supplied by domestic manufacturer SmartSens. This is a 50-megapixel mobile image sensor with a size of 1/1.28 inch, adopts the SFCPixel-2 architecture, supports SuperPixGain HDR technology, and has a dynamic range of up to 110dB. In addition, the Huawei Mate 80 series may be equipped with domestic one-inch main cameras;
In terms of performance, some models of Huawei Mate 80 series will adopt a built-in active cooling system for the first time, with an ultra-thin fan and air duct built in the body. This solution will effectively solve the problem of high-performance mobile phone heat generation and further release the upper limit of chip performance.
