Garmin launches Index Sleep Monitor, a handy sleep tracker

Garmin has launched the Index Sleep Monitor, a shoulder-worn tracker designed to track your body during sleep without having to wear a watch to bed. The device does not cause discomfort, does not light up, does not vibrate again, and works for up to 7 days without charging.

The gadget tracks key sleep indicators: phase, breathing, pulse, blood oxygen saturation, and skin temperature. Based on this data, it generates personalized reports and recommendations for better recovery. The system also tracks stress, body energy, and heart rate variability, which helps understand how sleep affects overall health.

The skin temperature tracking feature not only helps identify environmental impacts on sleep, but can also signal the onset of illness. The device also expands the possibilities of women's health: it allows you to predict menstruation and track ovulation.

For efficient wake-up, there is a smart alarm that selects the best sleep stage to make you feel more alert. All data is displayed in the form of visual charts in the exclusive Garmin Connect app.

The Index Sleep Monitor is now available in the Garmin online store for $170 and is available in two sizes.
