MediaTek's next flagship processor, Dimensity 9500, is tentatively scheduled to be released on September 22 this year, and will be released earlier than the second-generation Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Supreme Edition mobile platform, which is a competitor.
For reference, Dimensity 9400 was released in October 2024. The CPU is designed with an eight-core design, including 1 3.626GHz Cortex-X925 super-large core, 3 3.3GHz Cortex-X4 super-large cores and 4 2.4GHz Cortex-A720 large cores; the GPU is equipped with a 12-core GPU G925.
According to the revelations learned by CNMO, the Dimensity 9500 processor will most likely be launched by the vivo X300 series, and the first models include vivo X300 and vivo X300 Pro. Subsequently, domestic flagships such as OPPO Find X9, OPPO Find X9 Pro, and Honor Magic 8 may also be equipped.
In terms of the market, the main competitor of Dimensity 9500 processor is the second-generation Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Supreme Edition mobile platform. The second-generation Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Supreme Edition mobile platform is expected to be launched globally by Xiaomi 16 and Xiaomi 16 Pro, and is equipped with the first batch of models such as iQOO 14 series, OnePlus 15 series, realme GT 8 series, REDMI K90 series, Honor Magic 8 Pro and other models. Top domestic imaging flagships such as Xiaomi 16 Ultra, OPPO Find X9 Ultra, vivo X300 Ultra will also choose the Snapdragon platform.
