Nintendo bans Switch 2 owners from using MIG Flash cartridges

In early June, Nintendo released the Switch 2, a new hybrid console for fans of portable gaming. Of course, hackers and pirates immediately got down to business, but this time the Japanese company carefully prepared for their invasion.

For example, one DIYer claimed that the corporation banned his test console because of the MIG Flash flash cartridge, which allows you to copy games to the built-in microSD and run them on the Switch. Similar stories are shared on Reddit - one user believes that the platform holder has some new way to track manipulations with the device.

I got banned on the Switch 2 after using the MIG with completely legal dumps of my own cartridges, so apparently Nintendo is able to detect such things. Similar messages are also on Reddit. I strongly recommend not to use the MIG, it was already very risky to use, but on the Switch 2 it is even more dangerous.

The manufacturer of the MIG Flash and Nintendo have not commented on the situation. It should be noted that for the Japanese corporation, draconian measures to protect Switch 2 from hackers are the order of the day: the company has been fiercely fighting digital piracy in all its forms for many years.
