Samsung Electronics today officially announced that it will hold an online Galaxy product launch event at 5:30 PM Beijing time on September 4th, where it is expected to unveil several products from its ecosystem. While no specific details have been released, the timing suggests the new Galaxy Tab S11 series will likely be a key feature. As Samsung's core competitor to the Apple iPad Pro, the Tab S11 series continues to offer differentiated advantages such as an AMOLED screen, S-Pen stylus, and the DeX desktop experience, aiming to strengthen its competitiveness in the high-end Android tablet market.
Competition in the tablet market is currently intensifying. Apple holds an advantage with its proprietary chips and ecosystem of apps, while Samsung is breaking through with hardware innovation and productivity tools. The launch of the Tab S11 series is seen as a key move by Samsung to demonstrate the value of its ecosystem to creative professionals and power users. It's worth noting that the event may not be limited to tablets. Samsung has traditionally released "Fan Edition" phones in late summer and early autumn, so the mid-to-high-end Galaxy S25 FE is also expected to make an appearance.
However, the FE series has previously been controversial due to its ambiguous pricing strategy – priced between mid-range and flagship, and released too soon after the next-generation S series, which has led to a somewhat awkward market positioning. Whether Samsung will formulate a clearer strategy for the FE series this year will be another highlight of the launch event.
