Even before the debut of the Huawei Mate 80 flagship smartphone, a wealth of information about the brand's future flagship had already leaked. Recently, the expected processor model also became known—according to insiders, the new device will be significantly more powerful than its predecessor.
According to Chinese portal Mydrivers, the new device will be built on the Kirin 9030 mobile platform (the name has not yet been officially confirmed). It is expected to continue to be manufactured using 7nm technology, but thanks to an updated architecture, it will be 20% faster than the current Kirin 9020 model. The new chip's energy efficiency is also expected to be improved, but exact figures were not reported.
Finally, sources reported that the Mate 80 series smartphones will feature a new cooling system, allowing them to operate without overheating "under any circumstances." Earlier, insider Digital Chat Station discussed the camera of the base Mate 80 model, and tech blogger Fixed Focus stated that the gadget will have a 3D facial recognition scanner located below the display surface.
