Samsung recently announced the expansion of its AI-powered "Home Appliance Remote Diagnosis" service to over 120 countries and regions worldwide. This service uses AI technology to analyze the operating status of users' home appliances in real time, and professional consultants provide engineer-level troubleshooting advice.
According to CNMO, the service was initially launched in South Korea in 2020 and piloted last year in 10 English-speaking countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, and France. This year, Samsung significantly expanded the service, adding Spanish, Portuguese, and Arabic, bringing the total number of languages to 17, achieving broad coverage across the Middle East, Latin America, Europe, and Asia. Users can receive precise technical support through AI-assisted diagnosis without having to describe the product's anomaly, saving time and reducing the additional costs of on-site service visits. Even if on-site repairs are required, engineers can access detailed device data in advance, significantly improving service efficiency.
Notably, the service supports smart home appliances with screens, such as the Family Hub refrigerator with a 32-inch screen, refrigerators with the AI Home TouchScreen, and smart washing machines. Users can use the screen sharing feature for remote, real-time diagnostics, further enhancing the interactivity and accuracy of the service.
Yu Mi-young, Vice President of Samsung's DA Business Division, said, "We will continue to strengthen our strategic positioning as 'AI Home Appliances is Samsung' and continuously improve customer satisfaction through differentiated products and services that utilize AI."
