Honor's next-generation flagship Magic8 series has officially passed multiple certifications (three complete certifications) and is expected to be released in mid-October this year. The new series will include four models: Magic8 mini, Magic8 standard edition, Magic8 Pro, and Magic8 Ultra. The first three will launch this year, while the Ultra edition will be delayed until the first quarter of 2026.
Leaked information indicates that the entire Honor Magic8 series will adopt a straight-screen design, saying goodbye to curved screen designs. The three initial models will have screen sizes of: Magic8 mini (6.3 inches), standard edition (6.58 inches), and Pro edition (6.71 inches). They will have resolutions ranging from 1.5K to 2K, support a high refresh rate of 120Hz, and feature borders reduced to less than 1mm, achieving a "borderless" visual effect. In terms of hardware, the Magic8 mini may be equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor, while the standard and Pro versions will be powered by Qualcomm's second-generation Snapdragon 8 Extreme Edition mobile platform (Snapdragon 8 Elite 2), and the Ultra version will feature an overclocked Snapdragon 8 Elite 2.
According to national quality certification information, two new models, model numbers BKQ-AN00 and BKQ-AN80, have received certification. All models support 90W wired fast charging and come standard with a periscope telephoto lens, ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, and wireless charging. Regarding imaging, the Pro version may feature a triple-camera setup (50-megapixel main camera + ultra-wide-angle lens + 200-megapixel periscope telephoto lens).
As you can see, Honor has broken with tradition by introducing the MediaTek platform (Dimensity 9500) in its flagship series for the first time, with multiple models covering different price ranges. Based on the pricing of its predecessor, the Magic8 series is expected to start at over 4,000 yuan, directly competing with the Xiaomi Mi 16 series released at the same time.
