Chinese smartphone manufacturers are continuously increasing their competition in mid-range phone battery capacity. Next year, at least two new models are expected to be released featuring 10,000mAh batteries, boasting impressive performance and thickness.
Previously, the blogger revealed on August 21st that a certain brand was testing a new phone equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 chip, boasting a battery capacity of approximately 10,000mAh. Based on analysis from multiple sources, this new phone is highly likely from Honor.
It is reported that the phone will feature a 6.79-inch, 1.5K resolution LTPS screen, balancing display quality with power consumption. Despite the massive battery capacity, engineers have reported that the thickness is well-controlled, not noticeably bulky, likely continuing Honor's strategy of balancing battery life with a slim design. The product is expected to launch in the first half of 2026, promising to be another mid-range flagship featuring ultra-long battery life, following the Honor Power series.
Meanwhile, realme has also joined this "battery arms race." Following the reveal of a 10,000mAh battery prototype in May 2025, realme recently announced through its X platform that it will soon release a new phone with a battery capacity "over 10,000mAh." An official poster indicates that the official announcement will be made on August 28th (Beijing time), coinciding with the "realme Fan Festival." It is expected that the next generation of ultra-large battery phones will be released at that time.
