Recently, foreign media released performance comparison data between the Snapdragon 8 Extreme Edition mobile platform and the Dimensity 9300+ processor. The test models were the iQOO 13 powered by the Snapdragon 8 Extreme Edition mobile platform and the vivo X200 FE powered by the Dimensity 9300+ processor.
The data shows that the Snapdragon 8 Extreme Edition scored 2,802,747 points on AnTuTu, far ahead of the Dimensity 9300+, which scored 1,984,562. This performance gap exceeds 41%. Specifically, the Snapdragon 8 Extreme Edition leads in CPU scores by 34.6% (631,482 vs. 469,277). Its GPU performance also saw a significant leap, reaching 1,208,815, compared to the Dimensity 9300+'s 810,295, a 49% advantage. This demonstrates that the Snapdragon 8 Extreme Edition offers a smoother gaming experience, faster rendering speeds, and more stable graphics performance.
In Geekbench testing, the Snapdragon 8 Extreme Edition delivered excellent single-core and multi-core performance. Its single-core score of 3056 was approximately 46% higher than the Dimensity 9300+'s 2089, giving it a clear advantage in areas like app launch and fast UI interactions. Multi-core performance remained significantly different, with the Snapdragon 8 Extreme Edition scoring 9702, approximately 38% higher than the Dimensity 9300+'s 7056. This performance is expected to excel when handling multitasking, demanding productivity apps, and sustained workloads.
Although both the Snapdragon 8 Extreme Edition and the Dimensity 9300+ are manufactured by TSMC, they utilize different process technologies, resulting in significant differences. The Snapdragon 8 Extreme Edition mobile platform utilizes a 3nm process, which is more advanced and energy-efficient than the 4nm process used in the Dimensity 9300+ processor.
