A digital blogger has leaked specs of what is believed to be the Xiaomi Mi 16 Pro (small-screen version), which will feature a 6.3-inch screen and a 6300mAh battery.
The blogger also stated that the Xiaomi Mi 16 Pro (small-screen version) will feature a new design with wide corners and extremely narrow bezels. For imaging, it will feature an upgraded main camera with an oversized bottom lens and a periscope lens. The phone will support wireless charging, ultrasonic fingerprint recognition, and full waterproofing.
Recently, Xiaomi celebrated its 14th anniversary, and Xiaomi Group Co-founder and President Lu Weibing released a video in which he previewed the Xiaomi Mi 16 series. He stated that the latest generation of Xiaomi's digital series will undergo significant changes in both product positioning and definition, and will be released soon.
According to leaks, the Xiaomi Mi 16 series is expected to launch in September and will be the first to be equipped with the second-generation Snapdragon 8 Extreme Edition mobile platform. Unlike its predecessor, the Xiaomi Mi 16 series will include a small-screen version within the Pro series for the first time, with two models featuring 6.3-inch and 6.8-inch screens, respectively. The addition of a small-screen version to the Pro lineup for the first time may be the defining characteristic of the significant product changes Lu Weibing mentioned.
Furthermore, the blogger previously revealed that the Xiaomi 16 Pro (small-screen version) will feature the same 50-megapixel, 1/1.28-inch, ultra-large-bottom, high-dynamic range main camera as the Xiaomi 16 Pro (large-screen version), along with a periscope telephoto lens. The sensor will be the same as the Xiaomi 16, but the optical zoom ratio will remain the same as the Xiaomi 16 Pro (large-screen version).
