OpenAI has launched a new ChatGPT Go pricing plan. This service is designed for users who don't have free access to chatbots, but find the $20 price tag for Plus too high. The first country to launch is India, with subscriptions expected to be available in other markets in the future.
Compared to the free plan, ChatGPT Go expands the limits for using chatbots. This means users will receive more requests for GPT-5 and GPT-Thinking, enhanced image generation capabilities, and increased quotas in research mode. Projects, tasks, and custom GPTs are also available in the Go plan, making it easier to organize work.
That being said, ChatGPT Go has its limitations. Unlike the Plus subscription, there's no access to previous models, including GPT-4o, and there's no video generation feature in Sora. The number of messages in the new plan was not disclosed, but OpenAI noted that it's significantly higher than the free version.
The subscription price is 399 Indian rupees—approximately $4.59 or 370 rubles. There's currently no information on when the new tariff will be released in other regions.
