Samsung is preparing a camera update for its smartphones, and one of the innovations in One UI 8 will be Rich Mode. Using this mode will produce images with more saturated colors compared to the standard profile. However, to activate it, you'll need to use an ambiguous function.
According to insider Ice Universe, the new feature will have a limitation. To activate the Rich Mode, you'll need to enable a watermark on your photos. This means there won't be a simple toggle button in the camera interface like other brands. If confirmed, users will have to choose between saturated colors and a "clean" frame without captions.
The new watermark includes technical information about the lens: shutter speed, ISO, aperture, focal length, and exposure parameters. Ice Universe has released sample photos taken with the new mode.
It's unclear when Samsung will add this feature. Hopefully, the company will still allow you to enable Saturation Mode outside of the watermark.
