Microsoft has significantly overhauled Windows 11's dark interface. It now appears virtually seamless, applying not only to windows but also to their content. However, not all users of the current operating system can take advantage of this innovation.
Currently, the improved dark design is only available in Windows 11 Insider pre-release builds. The main difference from the current implementation is the "correct" shading of dialog box content, such as when copying or deleting various files. The mode is also still unfinalized—for example, some on-screen buttons remain white.
According to an insider nicknamed Phantomofearth, Microsoft may add changes to version 25H2, slated for release at the end of the year. Other elements of the operating system interface are expected to adopt a full-fledged dark design: the Control Panel, the Run utility line, and the File Properties window. The developers themselves have not yet announced such interface changes.
