Shortly before the premiere, the brand revealed the device's design, releasing official renders depicting the upcoming novelty. Furthermore, the presentation date became known—only a few days remain until the new product goes on sale.
The device's premiere will take place on August 21st. The Redmi Note 15 Pro+ is available in blue in promotional images. The upper portion of its rear panel is dominated by a square main camera module with three sensors and an LED flash. According to Redmi, this is the first smartphone from the brand to feature symmetrical, slightly curved front and back surfaces. This shape should make the device more comfortable to hold.
One of the renders hints at the smartphone's robust construction. As the company explains, the device's screen will be protected by crystal glass, and the rear panel will be made of fiberglass, resistant to bending and damage. According to suppliers, the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ is the first in the industry to withstand 50 drops from a height of two meters onto granite.
To demonstrate the gadget's survivability, Xiaomi head Liu Weibin recorded a short video in which he struck the futuristic novelty display with several hammers. The video sequence shows no visible damage to the protective glass.
The price of the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ has not yet been announced.
