Game development costs money, and it's not uncommon for gamers to learn about new projects based on their financial footprint. Consequently, over the next few years, we await Godforge, a cross-platform role-playing game from a British company that has already raised significant funding for its creation.
British game studio Fateless announced that it has raised an additional $8 million in a second round of funding, bringing its total to $14 million.
The project is currently in its alpha testing phase. According to the company, the results have been excellent: over 4,400 players participated in the first wave of testing, spending 45,776 hours in-game. The studio says that, whatever that means, the game will "help develop the hero-collecting genre for a new generation of players."
