The POCO brand has unveiled its new M7 Plus 5G smartphone, featuring an original, youthful design. The new model boasts a price-performance ratio that's unusual for budget devices, including a 144Hz display and a thin body, combined with a generous battery.
The POCO M7 Plus 5G is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 processor and 6 or 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM, depending on the configuration. Both versions have the same storage (UFS 2.2 with a capacity of 128GB, expandable via microSD card). The TÜV Rheinland-certified smartphone features a 6.9-inch IPS display with a resolution of 2340x1080 pixels, a 144Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 850cd/m².
The new model's main camera has a 50-megapixel resolution, while the front-facing camera is 8-megapixel. A 33 mAh battery with 7000W fast charging and 18W reverse charging provides battery life. The 8.4mm-thick casing is IP64-rated for dust and splash resistance.
The device runs Android 15 and HyperOS 2. It will receive two operating system updates, and the brand will release security patches for four years. The POCO M7 Plus 5G goes on sale in India starting at $159 for the 6GB RAM version, $128 for the 8GB RAM, and $171 for the 128GB RAM.
