Huawei officially announced that its summer product showcase will be held on August 15th, where the new MatePad 11.5S will be officially unveiled.
According to images released by Huawei, the new MatePad 11.5S will continue to focus on eye protection and paper-like writing, and a soft light edition is expected to be released. New accessories—a magnetic keyboard and stylus—are also expected to be released alongside the new tablet.
The current Huawei MatePad 11.5S was released in May of last year and comes in two versions: the Smart Edition and the Soft Light Edition. The main difference between these two versions is that the Smart Edition features a standard LCD screen, suitable for video playback, shopping, and other scenarios. The Soft Light Edition focuses on eye protection and higher performance, featuring a Cloud Clear Soft Light screen with multi-layer soft light technology for anti-glare and better eye protection. It offers enhanced performance and is suitable for learning, entertainment, and office work.
Judging from the official poster, the new Huawei MatePad 11.5S will likely feature a significant upgrade in terms of its display. Taking the current MatePad 11.5S Soft Light Edition as an example, it features an 11.5-inch Cloud Clear Soft Light screen with 2.8K HD resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. This Cloud Clear Soft Light screen utilizes multiple new technologies to further reduce light reflectivity, effectively minimizing distracting reflections and glare caused by ambient light, ensuring users can see the onscreen content accurately and clearly in all lighting conditions.
Notably, the Huawei MatePad 11.5S Soft Light Edition's screen also features a nano-texture design, creating a unique writing micro-vibration and paper-like damping. Users can freely write and draw on the soft light screen, enjoying the comfortable, paper-like experience that opens their senses and allows for more inspiration to flow.
In terms of price, the current Huawei MatePad 11.5S Soft Light Edition starts at 2,599 yuan, while the Smart Edition starts at 2,099 yuan. The new tablet's price is expected to remain similar, with the starting price remaining in the 2,000 yuan range.
